Fractures: Hamate fracture

Points of interest: The hook of the hamate forms the ulnar border of the carpal tunnel, and acts as a trochlea for the flexor tendons. The small finger flexors are immediately adjacent to the radial border of the hook, and may develop attritional rupture from inflammation or nonunion of the hook.
