of Hand Dislocations
Classification of dislocations is descriptive and exact, referring to the joint involved, the direction of displacement of the distal bone (volar, dorsal, lateral, dorsolateral, etc), soft tissue status (open, closed), association with fractures (simple dislocation, fracture-dislocation), and interposition of soft tissue which prevents closed reduction (simple or complex / irreducible).
