There are also growing numbers of Internet directories for Health Care Professionals. These are referred to as gateways or portals, and generally provide a mixture of links, discussion groups, content, and search capability. Examples of portal sites having specific value to hand surgeons are listed in Table 5. Of these, Orthogate stands out as a noncommercial orthopedic gateway designed and hosted by an international physician consortium.  |
