Financial or Logistic Hindrance to Optimum Followup and Therapy: Often, postoperative evaluation and therapy is critical to the outcome of treatment for an upper extremity problem. Anything which hinders postoperative care increases the chances that the patient will have difficulty complying with treatment recommendations, increasing the chances of an unfavorable result.
