Medial or lateral epicondylectomy therapy

Postoperative dressing.

3 weeks:

The postoperative dressing is removed.

A light dressing is applied as needed.

A Static 90 degrees Elbow splint may be necessary for comfort only.

6 weeks:

Passive Range of Motion exercises are initiated to the elbow.

6 - 8 weeks:

Begin gentle strengthening using putty and progressing to hand helper and theraband as needed.
