Origin: Posterior surface of the Ulna and the interosseous membrane

Insertion: dorsal base of the index finger Middle Phalanx and the Digital extensor mechanism

Function: extends the index finger MCP and PIP joints

Nerve: Posterior Interosseous

Artery: Posterior Interosseous
